Time to get Personal

The Hampshire-based social care and support organisation YOU, has appointed Lorraine Pink as Personalisation Project Manager.

Lorraine will play a pivotal role in the organisation's early move to fit in line with the national Personalisation Agenda by offering tailored support packages direct to individuals who require the care, support or advice. These could be people with a learning disability, someone recovering from mental ill health or a young homeless person.

Operating out of Basingstoke, Lorraine will be responsible for setting up a Hampshire-wide Telecare service for people with learning disabilities and overseeing a new pilot Brokerage service in Basingstoke, as well as developing a menu of personalised services for clients.

Lorraine's background is a commercial one, having previously worked as a sales and marketing manager for a firm in Wiltshire and more recently as a Business Development Manager at Testway Housing for two years.

Nicola Youern, Chief Executive of YOU, said: "Lorraine's commercial experience will be a real asset to the organisation. She is very business focused and has an excellent understand of the market place which will help us to grow."

Of her appointment, Lorraine, who is a keen ½ marathon runner, said: "This is a new and very interesting challenge for me and I'm looking forward to making a real difference to the lives of the people we support."
