Southern Focus Trust

Southern Focus Trust (SFT) provides care, support and advice services to people who face social exclusion and those who have a disability. We aim to give people the tools and resources they need to live independent, secure and valued lives. We employ 500 staff delivering services across Hampshire and Dorset to many thousands of people each year.

A successful application to the Youth Bank has mean that Southern Focus Trust's Young People's Services in Dorset received £500 towards an art competition the young people are in the process of organising.  Chairman of the Trust and former art teacher, Tessa Short, said "I am so proud of the hard work and enthusiasm by the young people to get this competition off the ground.  I am very much looking forward to judging the final submissions".

Colleagues and service-users at Southern Focus Trust made over 220 nominations for Staff Excellence Awards, more than twice as many as the two previous years added together. “90 of our service users sent in glowing nominations about what our staff have done to support them and change their lives,” said Chief Executive Nicola Youern. “For me, this is the ultimate sign of success right at the heart of our community.”
