First Base

First Base is a floating support service for young people aged 16-25 who are homeless or threatened with homelessness living in Portsmouth.  The service provides floating support on a flexible basis according to the needs of the individual.  This may include identifying appropriate accommodation or support to maintain their tenancy and may also include signposting to external agencies.

Our staff can support young people by providing budgeting skills, confidence building and life skills as well as support for any other issues identified as contributing to the young person's homelessness or inability to maintain their tenancy.
